The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and Liaise with the Financial Controller. This position will perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. Duties: The successful candidate will provide support in the following areas: • All accounts payable duties including generating purchase orders, invoice matching, coding and making payments; • Dealing with supplier queries; • Basic monthly accounting journal entries; • Monthly creditor reconciliations; • Bank reconciliations. • Working with external and internal auditors during audits; • Maintaining supplier databases; • General filing and archiving; • Assist with answering / directing of calls; • Other related duties, as required. • General support within the finance team as and when required. Essential. • Minimum of one year in a similar accounts assistant / accounts payable role. • Experience dealing with suppliers / creditors. • Handling large volumes of data in MS Excel using sort, filter, lookup and basic pivot tables. • Experience with computerised accounts packages. • Proven commitment to achieving deadlines and delivering high quality work.
