Purchasing/Project Administrator. Role Type: Permanent. Role Location: Meath/North Dublin. Sector - Engineering Automation. My client are custom automation solutions providers specialising in the design and manufacturing of bespoke equipment. Due to continued growth and expansion that are seeking to add a project coordinator to the team to support the Engineering manager. You will need to have excellent microsoft project experience as well as some level of product purchasing. This role will suit a dynamic individual that can quickly add value to the business. Job Description. • Assist the General Manager with creating and monitoring of both projects and time lines for clients. • This role would include management of the production schedule, ensuring you are liaising with the relevant departments with updates on the progress of their project. • You will be responsible for ordering raw materials required for in house production, this will also include liaising with suppliers from around the world to source and purchase the necessary components always ensuring quality and delivery dates are achieved. • You will also be involved in ensuring the production deadlines are adhered to and inline with the Microsoft project plan and you will be raising purchase orders as and when required by the engineering and maintenance team. • The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator and will preferably have gained experience from a manufacturing or engineering background. • Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal. • You must have a high standard of computer skills- Microsoft Project advanced level and Office suite. • Highly organised and able to prioritise workload efficiently. • Excellent attention to detail and ability to take instruction. • Confident with internal and external phone calls and meetings. • Source Products and Suppliers. • Procurement of similar materials from alternative suppliers. • Liaise with Department Managers regarding material requisitions and supplies for future projects. • Project Co-Ordination - managing various projects in terms of specifications, planning, and deployment and close out. • Provide general administrative assistance to project teams as they plan projects, work schedules and activities. Requirements. • 3-5 years' experience in a similar role. • Good negotiation skills. • Ability to focus and prioritise tasks. • Good communicator - both internal and external. • Ability to work well under pressure.
