SUMMARY OF ROLE: Our Client, a leader in its sector, is a second generation family business that has grown to become a major player in the fresh produce industry. They grow a huge variety of fresh produce including kale, spinach, fresh herbs, legumes, and brassicas, to name a few and supply major retailers and caterers country wide. This is a full time permanent position and is an excellent opportunity for you to work with an interesting and progressive fresh produce business. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will make decisions on a daily basis using your own initiative. The successful candidate must be a self-starter with ability to work autonomously and have a dynamic ability to respond to challenging situations in an innovative manner. The Key Account Manager will ultimately be responsible for keeping existing customers professionally serviced and ensuring that they list all the company's product lines. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Sales in foodservice – The role is primarily focused on the management of the original customer base; • Maintain existing customers’ satisfaction with product and service; • Ensure all product lines are listed with existing customers and build volumes with customers; • While based at head office, must be willing to meet customers at their premises all over Ireland as well as providing on-going customer service; • Liaise with the Finance department, Customer Services, Sales and Production Operations. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: • 3 years previous Key Account experience in the fresh produce sector; • Must have good knowledge of fruit and veg market and the foodservice business in Ireland; • Must have good experience on the wholesale market in Ireland which supplies restaurant and hotel business; • Practical hands on experience, relevant Irish experience essential; • Customer focussed and strong relationship building skills; • Strong planning, organisation and problem solving skills; • Strong attention to detail, with good knowledge of MS Office Excel and relevant financial reports; • Full clean driving licence; • Good knowledge of food safety and HACCP best practices. WORKING HOURS: Working hours will be Monday to Friday, but may change as the business dictates. Applicants must be fully flexible. SALARY: €40,000 - €60,000 depending on experience. Bonus based on agreed monthly sales target for new customers. Company vehicle provided, laptop, mobile phone, out of pocket expenses. JOB CODE: QED0078.
