What you need to know. You will work as a QC Microbiologist for our client, a highly successful and ambitious pharmaceutical company in Galway . Our client is a based in the West and operate in the pharmaceutical arena as a provider into the clinical and industrial markets. This is a permanent job. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities: QC Microbiologist for the site. Develop and maintain microbiological methods. Audit and review micro test results. Testing QC samples for product sterility, pH, growth promotion, appearance, uniformity, etc. Calibration and operation of instrumentation including pH Meter, spiral plater, etc. Document work on lab notebooks. Other routine testing to include environmental monitoring, process water, product shelf life validation, temperature monitoring, etc. Consumables management. Investigations on product failures, customer complaints, OOS, and non-conformances. What are we looking for? 3rd level Degree in Microbiology or equivalent. Working knowledge of GMP environment. Excellent communication skills. Attention to detail. Experience deploying microbiology techniques in a working environment. Desirable. Experience with pH Meter or spiral plater.
