Summary. Under general direction of the Finance Manager, Qualified Accountant is responsible for supporting the management of all financial related tasks for the Company. The postholder will have responsibility for reporting on business performance, budgets, forecasts, capital projects, and cost reduction programmes. The position works closely with the finance team and contributes substantially to the quality and effectiveness of the company’s overall supply management and results. Responsibilities Contribute to closing all month, quarter and year end accounts for the company. Analyzes gross profit components on a monthly basis and reports significant variances. Bi-weekly maintenance of pricing. Provide management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services. Provide support for statutory audits of the Irish companies and interact with the independent auditors to ensure compliance with audit requirements. Assist in the company’s taxation requirements to ensure all deadlines are met. Prepares financial analysis and reporting for the company and facilitates periodic financial reviews that will assist the team in maximizing profitability and performance. Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities; prepare balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position. Financial review and preparation of business cases for ad hoc projects. Supports the activities of the team in gathering and processing data as assigned by various projects. Perform such other duties as the Employer may from time to time assign to this role. Requirements ACA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA qualified ideally with 2 years plus PQE2. Proficient with MS Office application skills. Working knowledge of financial and planning software packages. Knowledge of data analysis and other query and reporting tools. Fundamental knowledge of plan development, productivity and profitability analysis. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing, fast paced environment. Self-motivated and ability to work independently. Ability to perform fact-based analytical techniques. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Strong interpersonal skills, mathematical and analytical skills.
