R & D Design Engineer. Role Type: Permanent. Location : North East - Meath/Westmeath/Cavan. Due to continued expansion and growth my client is now seeking to hire and R & D Design Engineer to join the mechanical design team - this is a newly created position in the company as they establish an R & D function to support their growing customer base worldwide. They are willing to consider applicants with various levels of experience but you must be proficient in Pro Engineering (Creo) or Solid Works and have a strong aptitude for the work. We are ideally looking for candidates that have some experience within the following areas, waste recycling, concrete batching plants, crushing etc. Main Duties and Responsibilities. • Translating concept designs from sales drawings into drawings suitable for manufacture. • Design large components and assemblies using CREO 2.0. • Design of material handling equipment such as conveyors. • Design review process, product integrations, product and process value engineering. • Managing various engineering projects in terms of specifications, planning, deployment and close out. • Customer interaction, supply chain & production system design. • Conduct detailed models and 3d drawings. Key Attributes. • Experience in the design of heavy duty material handling equipment. • Experience in the design of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems. • A genuine interest in finding innovative solutions to meet a range of criteria. • A hands on approach to product testing and assembly. • A proven track record of project delivery to agreed deadlines. • Experienced in the use of 3D modelling software ideally CREO. • Self-Starter, work under your own initiative whilst also working as part of a team is essential to this role. • Must be flexible.
