Exciting opportunity for an experienced supply chain buyer/planner to work for a global medical device company in the midlands. The succesful candodate will be a key member of the BIFG Manufacturing Team. You will plan production within the BIFG organization and be responsible for Inventory management. You will liaise with other team members to ensure that material and production orders are available in a timely manner. The development and implementation of both tactical & longer-term supply chain strategies that address product supply forecasting,capacity management issues, and key tender order management in support of business growth are key deliverables of this role. Responsibilities: Manage and review product delivery, availability to meet committed service levels while delivering to inventory targets. Data analysis, metrics and reporting/ KPI Management - Development & maintenance of supplier management processes [OTD, Inventory, PPV, E & O, Warehousing etc] Place PO’s, resolve invoice queries, prepare forecasts. Supplier management - Coordinate & manage principle & sub- tier suppliers. Managing & building tactical relationships with suppliers. Develop of queries & models to establish and support key business metrics & reports. Support to key strategic projects. Meetbusiness objectives with regard to service. Iidentify & implement cost reduction & inventory reduction strategies & programs. Escalate potential supplier manufacturing and compliance issues to provide & obtain direction and decision making around continued production & supply. Management of Purchase orders for direct & non direct requirements. Development of processes & SOP documentation. Will abide to Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Policies and any relevant other EHS documentation. Will comply with all relevant training required and adhere to relevant associated documentation. Actively contribute to the enhancement of compliance initiatives for areas of responsibility. Skills and Experiences: 5 years manufacturing experience in a Supply Chain environment ( purchasing/ planning/inventory control. Working knowledge of Oracle/SAP MPS & MRP. Working knowledge of Quality Systems (FDA/ISO) within a regulated environment. Competent in MS Access, Excel, Oracle /ERP & query development (Excel & Word. Good communicator and inter personnel skills. Ability to work on own initiative. Function well under pressure & handles multiple priorities. Shows flexibility and is able to adapt to changing requirements. Flexibility with working hours and travel. Motivated self starter with confidence to managing a 3rd party supplier is essential. Ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple concurrent task.
