Our Athlone Software Centre develops highly specialised technology used in 4th and 5th Generation mobile telecommunication systems. A Lean Start-up approach to development will be taken where rapid and frequent deliveries are made to lead customers to solicit quick feedback which feeds into development of the next release. The latest approaches to software development will be used including Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment and Agile methodologies. Job Description - UI Developer. The UI Developer will be responsible for all stages the application development lifecycle of our centralized management application. In collaboration with the Engineering and Product Management teams you will analyse requirements, design, develop and maintain solutions and interfaces for this important application. Your task requests will range from core tasks to long term projects and complex interactions with various environments and APIs. The role will encompass working with agile methodologies in a global environment. Key Responsibilities / Duties. Gathering and evaluating user requirements. Illustrating design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps. Designing graphic user interface elements. Excellent cross-functional communicator and team player. Demonstrate passion for creating successful software products. Track record of rolling out efficient User Interfaces and software systems. Drive processes to identify and correct flawed and outdated software or software systems frameworks and tools. Foster a software front end (UI) excellence mindset. Develop UI mock-ups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like. Conduct layout/navigation adjustments. Very strong problem solving and analytical abilities. Good time-management skills. Willingness and ability to share and disseminate knowledge to colleagues and team members. Skills & Knowledge required. Proficient in JavaScript programming. Strong working knowledge and experience of Angular. Excellent knowledge of HTML/CSS/Bootstrap. Git or similar version control experience. Three to five years experience in UI development. Demonstrated track record as a strategic thinker, creative problem solver and solutions provider. Ability to work independently and support multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines. An unwavering commitment to personal and professional ethics and integrity. Ability to persuade and gain the commitment of others to accept a point of view, adopt a specific direction, or take a course of action. Excellent written and communications skills.
