Process Engineer - County Westmeath. In this role you will: • Provide support to Manufacturing project team members in the delivery of the manufacturing process within the project milestones. • Ensure the application of Lean Process Design principles. • Provide expert level support in the set up & programming of key process steps such as automated manufacturing solutions. • Based on your expert knowledge support DFM reviews with relevant Design Engineers to ensure product designs are compatible with the manufacturing process steps. • Attendance & presentation of process at customer meetings both on-site & off-site. • Perform Process FMEA, complete Process Design Simulations, Cardboard Mock-Ups. • Perform Lean Process design reviews - phase by phase. • Generation & execution of Process Qualification plans & reports. Education and Experience Required: • Degree/Diploma in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent. • Minimum 5 years' experience within manufacturing environment (ideally but not essentially automotive. • Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Design, APQP, PPAP, PFMEAs, DFM Rules. • Experience in project managing the delivery of volume manufacturing solutions. • Experience with CAD packages, AutoCAD, CADStart, SolidWorks etc. would be beneficial. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Results orientated. • Ability to work well under pressure and manage to deadlines.
