In this new and challenging role you will ensure product availability from manufacturing partners to meet business needs. To achieve this you will : - Build & maintain good rel'ship s with suppliers. Manage the company's internal purchasing system ensuring all data is accurate. Plan support & implement projects with suppliers & key internal partner organisations to drive effective supply, cost structures & control. Develop & maintain strategic rel'ship s with suppliers through direct price negotiation for cost improvements with global & local suppliers. Liaise with all internal functional dept's to plan for procurement based on customer demands. Analyse commodity fluctuations & monitor supplier SLAs & KPIs. Sole responsibility for purchasing & mgt. of finished products & raw materials; orders, schedules & deliveries in line with agreed SLAs. Manage purchasing system ensuring all info is accurate including compliance with policies & requirements. Forecast price trends work with finance on annual company budgets. Engage with inventory control & develop metrics for gauging inventory levels & needs. Mgt. of delivery documentation & monitoring contractual agreements. Participate in & lead RFP /RFQ processes with suppliers & participate in "cost of goods sold" reduction projects & preparing business cases for mgt. Present KPI's on a weekly & monthly basis to mgt. Manage day to day purchasing activities team of 5 Buyer/planner. You will also be a motivated self-starter managing a 3rd party supplier s. who can plan, organize, & implement multiple concurrent tasks. A sense of urgency, experience in a fast paced environment with flexibility in hours & travel. Qualifications & experience. Education Bachelors Degree in Bus., Procurement, S/C Mgt. or related discipline. Minimum 7 years' exp in a 3rd party S/C mgt. & 3 to 4 years of people mgt. Have managed & developed supplier reships including contract negotiation. Manage annual standard cost settings, pricing, & cost out programs. Understand Compliance requirements & Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) including validation requirements & Regulatory expectations. Working knowledge of Quality Systems (FDA/ISO) within a regulated environment. Ability to interpret engineering drawings/specs/familiarity with contract terms & conditions, statements of work. Competent user of MS Office tools [Access, Excel, Project, Word, Powerpoint. Excellent interpersonal & communication skills; strong leadership, decision-making & problem solving skills.
