Grafton are currently working with the Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLETB) to deliver a QQI accredited programme: Ireland’s first ever Builder’s Merchant Traineeship. This is an amazing opportunity to join Grafton on this Builder’s Merchant Traineeship, gain valuable industry experience and become a qualified Trade Sales Advisor. There are great career development prospects available within builder’s merchanting, from trade sales to management, as well as various support functions within a branch. As a Builder’s Merchant Trainee, you’ll spend half your learning time completing classroom-based modules, covering Customer Service, Retail Sales Skills, IT Skills, Health and Safety and Stock Control. You’ll then spend the rest of the course undertaking on-the-job learning, working alongside a mentor in your chosen branch. While no experience is essential, to be considered, you’ll need a great attitude, strong communication skills and the willingness to learn.
