Description

The Role: Responsible for all aspects of the store performance, including sales, profitability, shopping experience, quality of product and customer service. Additionally, a key aspect of this position is seen as building the future of the organisation by developing the team through coaching, counselling, and performance reviews. Key Duties and Responsibilities Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times in the Store. This person will be the role model for outstanding service and “owner” of the service initiative in the Store. Pro-active in solving customer problems and satisfying customers in various situations. Consistently monitors, coaches and encourages team members to meet the Company’s service standards. Drive store performance by ensuring that all waste is minimised. Ensures that all team members are educated to the highest standard on our products and services. Drive sales within the store, plan, execute and communicates sales promotions and new product information effectively and efficiently. Oversees all cash management functions in the Store. Able to perform all POS duties, opening and closing procedures, maintaining proper loss prevention standards, reviewing cash handling procedures, deposits and safe procedures. Manage shop overhead costs in line with budget. Staff Management and Training. Demonstrates the ability to lead, effectively communicate, and manage a team. Identifies staffing and training needs in conjunction with department managers and facilitates on-going training and development of current staff. Management of employee probationary periods. Builds morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team members input is encouraged and valued. Requirements. 3 years Management experience in the retail industry required. Well-organized, detail-oriented and able to multi-task. Must have effective problem solving/decision making abilities. Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Knowledge of working towards and achieving in-store KPI's. Excellent Staff managment experience and skills.
