Manufacturing Team Leader. Sector: Engineering. Location: Co Meath, commutable from parts of Cavan and Kildare. Our client has an excellent opportunity for an Manufacturing Team Leader to join their team. This is a Permanent role based in Co Meath. You will need to have prior experience in managing teams within fabrication, metal polishing or both, steel experience would he highly regarded. This role is across a permanent 4 day shift pattern and you will work Monday to Thursday only starting mid afternoon at 3.15 and finishing at 1.45am. You will be responsible for the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing process ensuring product is produced efficiently and cost effectively to the required level of quality on time, in a safe and compliant manner. Responsibilities: Planning and organising of Production Schedules with the Production Planner. Assess and identify Resource Requirements to support delivery of Production Schedules. Liaise with key stakeholders (Engineering/Supply Chain/Team Leads) on Production Schedules, Lead-times and Delivery Dates. Develop and Agree Production Targets for product lines. Oversee day to day production activities to ensure agreed Output Targets are achieved. Create Recovery Plans where Output Targets have been missed. Ensure good communication flow to the Production Teams so that they are all fully aware of the business and customer requirements. Determining Quality Standards, monitor product standards and implement quality control programme. Identify opportunities and devise strategies to reduce Production Costs, increase Production Efficiencies and eliminate Waste, ensuring production is cost effective. Lean Champion. Health & Safety, ensuring that H&S guidelines and regulations are met. Requirements: 5 years experience in manufacturing operations. 2 years experience in a supervisory capacity. Strong Planning and Organisation skills to be able control and monitor the production process. Capability to cultivate and implement performance measures to ensure production standards are met. Demonstrated decision making capability. Effectively communicate business goals and targets to his/her team and ensure that these goals and targets are effectively communicated throughout the production department.
