We supply a wide range of top quality building materials, hardware products and an expanding plant, machinery and tool hire fleet, ensuring our customers’ needs are always met in an effective, efficient and professional manner. We are currently recruiting a Senior Hire / Transport Controller. The Role: As Senior Hire Coordinator / Transport Controller you will be responsible for processing all on/off-hire requests using the hire software system to reflect the hire status and liaise with transport and the customer regarding delivery and collection schedules. This role also requires processing of payments and issuing of invoices to customers/clients. Main Responsibilities. · Receive and respond to incoming telephone calls and emails for hire, dealing directly with new enquiries and current customers. · Take customer hire request orders, process and follow them through to completion. · Liaise with the transport team regarding any deliveries or collections and communicate schedules to the relevant customers. · Process all input to IT systems and paperwork related to on-hires, off-hires etc. · Process monetary transactions and reconciliation on a daily basis. · Support and communicate effectively with customers throughout quotation and/or hire period. Other Responsibilities. · General office administration including the RSA web page and complete customer invoicing while liaising with the Accounts dept. · Answer customer queries and resolve any complaints/issues that arise throughout the hire period. · Prepare quotations, agree hire contracts, organise deliveries and collection of plant for Service and Sales Departments. · Undertake any additional duties as they may arise. Additional Attributes. · Previous experience in the Hire industry highly desirable. · Great Telephone manner and Strong customer focus. · A desire to learn and expand product knowledge. · IT literacy required and a Knowledge of Syrinx would be desirable.
