Job Description. An enthusiastic Grounds Maintenance Person is required to assist in maintaining private house grounds close to Mullingar, Westmeath on a full time and permanent basis. Main Responsibilities: - Mowing/strimming lawns and garden maintenance. - Maintaining planted areas and flower beds. - Dealing with fallen or dangerous trees/branches. - Pruning and hedge cutting. - Maintenance of pathways/avenues. - Feeding and caring for pet animals. - General maintenance of fences, walls, gates and out houses. - Using initiative and contributing to continuous improvement of the grounds. Role Requirements: - Experience using a range of machinery including chainsaw, ride-on mower, strimmer (preferably holds City & Guilds chainsaw qualification. - Horticultural or landscaping qualifications preferable but not essential. - Interest in gardening, maintenance and horticulture. - Enthusiasm and passion for the role along with a professional and friendly approach. - Fluent English. - Attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a small team and at a consistently high standard.
