JO-2003-448496. Athlone based OSD Pharma job opportunity. Lead Engineer Project and Process. Our client partner are a midlands based global brand in the manufacture of OSD Pharma products both of their own brand proprietary drugs and they also do a significant amount of Contract Manufacturing work for global partners. They have just received FDA approval for a new drug product that has been developed with one of their external R&D partners and the next phase is to move into full production of the product in the site in the midlands. As a result they now want to hire in a Senior Process / Project / Equipment lead specialist to work with other leaders and stakeholders across the organisation and you will be a vital member of the Senior Leadership as they move to full production of the new drug product. Reporting into the Director of Process Engineering. Here are your KEY AREAS OF JOB ACCOUNTABILITY: (list of key objectives and quantifying standards. The Lead engineer will be displaying a well-developed knowledge of engineering principles and cGMP requirements, while identifying potential opportunities for the application of new technologies/techniques in existing processes. Leading risk based decision making and making risk based judgements based on the interpretation of complete and in process data sets. Demonstrating accountability and ownership for team performance, working with team on deliverables and liaising with functional management to resolve issues. Actively challenge and constructively re-evaluate processes making recommendations and implementing as appropriate. Overall responsibility for multiple processes, accountable for the initiation, design, resourcing and budget of complex processing improvements. Ensuring technical competence is developed within the team and efficient work practices are maintained. Developing and clarifying objectives for the team, linked to site strategy and ongoing business demands. Tailoring messages to the audience to motivate and encourage open sharing of important information with other team members. Education and Experience. Third Level hons degree in Engineering or Science (Level 8) with 8 years relevant experience. Broad knowledge of existing and new technologies in the pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. Strong leadership, collaborative and communication skills. Self-directed work habits with demonstrated accountability for assignments and areas of responsibility. Ability to work alone or as part of a team. Ability to manage projects from start to finish, balancing multiple projects/priorities. Responds positively to changing circumstances and priorities. Practical knowledge of Lean/6Sigma tools and statistics packages an advantage. If you are proven Lead Project / Process Engineer with a proven track record and youre up for a new challenge.
