Description

Strategic Supply Chain Planner. A great new opportunity to join a new division of a well-established company. You will be an experienced strategic planner who can understand a complex supply chain & create a master plan of how best to utilise equipment & resources to manufacture efficiently. Key Responsibilities you will have are: - Forming an effective & efficient production plan on Excel. You will be an Excel super user. Forecasting, capacity planning; scheduling correctly ensuring on time delivery & efficient production planning. Plan for 4 production lines, with various materials & end products. Collating customer orders & forecast accurately. Production scheduling & planning for the lines & planning final assembly. Purchasing raw materials/components for the facility. Co-ordinating delivery & stock management. Liaising with internal customers & gain efficiencies in supply chain. Key KPIs. Number & type of stock keeping units & stock levels. Lead-times for each customer. Container & truck load utilisations. Reduction in change over times. Assist in the preparation of BOMs & ensure systems are updated with accurate costs. Place POs to meet production plans & manage stock of main material & other critical manufacturing materials. Manage procurement reports, indices, contract administration, rebate & other procurement functions as required. General Duties & Responsibilities. Develop strong relationships with all stakeholders. Create a production plan as only a strategy planning champion can do. Establish good relationships with suppliers & internal divisions. Create simple, clear processes & procedures to share product & production requirements. Give feedback on issues impacting operations & fix them. Ensure knowledge & learning are shared across the team. Experience & Knowledge. A proven track record in strategic production planning, capacity analysis & forecasting. Min of 6 plus years in production planning & scheduling in manufacturing ideally. Understanding of plastic moulding or extrusion welcomed. Excellent numeracy & Excel, & use of lookups, macros & pivot tables. Develop planning systems as business grows. Excellent interpersonal skills - spoken & written. Can prioritise; strong under pressure with good time management. Self-motivated & organised; great telephone manner, oral & written presentation. Qualifications & Training. Leavers Certificate, ideally Degree or 3rd level qualification. Your Excel skills must be outstanding. Familiarity with SAP or a similar ERP system.
