This well established global manufacturing company are looking for an experienced Head of Procurement to join the team. A role that is full of opportunity to develop your career further and to maximise all of your skills and experience to date. Scope of the position. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be a key strategic partner to the Executive team with responsibility for developing sourcing strategies, leveraging supplier relationships, analysing market conditions, and negotiating with suppliers and service providers to reduce cost and optimise value in a responsible way. You will have responsibility for all spend including bill of materials, operating costs and capital expenditure. Key Responsibilities: Lead negotiations and implementation of purchasing contracts and service level agreements with suppliers and service providers throughout the group. Accountable for development of overall supply base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage and meet client requirements, leveraging spend and technology and ensuring quality. Responsible for supplier improvement, and consolidation initiatives as well as identification and qualification of new vendors. Collaborate with the Supply Chain team in each location to design and implement a comprehensive supply chain solution that ensures operational efficiency and minimise working capital. Identify and realize cost-reduction opportunities. Identify risk within the supply chain and take action to mitigate risks and maximise opportunities. Delivering on set KPI targets with key focus on continuous improvement for a lean and efficient organisation. Education/Experience Primary degree in a relevant field such as commerce, purchasing, supply chain, operations or materials management fields. 10+ years' experience including multi site management experience within manufacturing environments. International Contract/vendor management and problem resolution skills. Excellent knowledge of international supply chain, contract negotiation, purchasing, logistics, and operations. Extensive knowledge of integrated ERP systems. Ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.
